Useful technology emerges from clear decisions about context, responsibility and the way people work. Three considerations for saas platforms.
Make the tenant explicit
Treat tenant identity as an architectural concern in requests, background tasks, storage and logs. Ambiguous context creates problems that are difficult to see in a single-tenant prototype.
Model the commercial lifecycle
Invitations, plan changes, usage limits and cancellation affect product behavior. Design those transitions alongside the core product workflow rather than bolting them on at launch.
Test the boundaries
Acceptance criteria should include attempts to cross tenant boundaries, expired memberships and background work that outlives a session. Test the behavior that protects the platform as well as its happy path.
Start with a workflow you can understand, observe and improve.
These are general design considerations. Implementation depends on the system, users and operational requirements.
